About Me

Get to know me

I'm Lerato and my name means passion or love in the sotho southern African language. I used to be a tv chef  & breakfast tv presenter before moving to the Sussex coast. I host guests from all over the world to fabulous feasts in London & the South East and I dream about food when I am not cooking or eating it. Over the past few years I have grown a large community of food lovers through my cookery school which empowers people and inspires vibrant cooking and conviviality, with recipes from Africa and beyond. Food is a powerful force for good, it nourishes our body and soul, breaks down barriers, bringing people together for one glorious goal. Read more about my passion for feeding people and why you should join our feasts.

It was a pleasure to meet you, and everyone is still commenting on how great our cookery class and dinner was.

Do give Lerato’s Supper club a try. She does get sold out pretty quickly so have a look at her website for regular updates. I really enjoyed the experience of trying new food with interesting people in new surroundings. Read full review here

Thank you for such a fantastic evening, you’ve inspired us to have a go at making more African inspired food at home! Cant recommend enough.

Supperclub  in Brighton

Fantastic! Thoroughly enjoy last night and it's good to showcase some African cuisine to non-Africans. Keep up your good work.

Elizabeth

We had the absolute joy of eating Lerato’s food at a Supper club in Brighton – what an experience! The food was absolutely like nothing we’ve ever had before, beautiful ingredients served in creative ways, so flavoursome and filling.

A wonderful Sunday afternoon well spent! The Food tasted divine and the preparation and cooking part was very enjoyable. I went alone and met some lovely people! I look forward to sharing the recipes with friends and family (who by the way are already lining up for me to make at home after seeing photos I shared). Would highly recommend. Thank you again Lerato!
